Pragovka Gallery vás zve na výstavu Julie Kopové THE GREY VOLCANO (3. 3. – 30. 3. 2023, Pragovka Gallery / Pop-Up). Zahájení proběhne ve čtvrtek 2. března od 18 hodin.

Tvorba Julie Kopové se dlouhodobě profiluje v oblasti gestické malby, jejíž primární tematizaci hledá v abstraktním rozkrývání specifických přírodních procesů. V krajině se málokdy nacházejí solitérní body – rytmizaci můžeme nalézt v každé louce, vodní hladině, lese i litosférické desce. I tyto spodní vrstvy krajiny (desková tektonika, kolize hornin, teplo a tlak) jsou pro Julii Kopovou silným zdrojem inspirace. Výstava The Grey Volcano navazuje jak svým názvem i výběrem konkrétních uměleckých děl na záměr autorky soustředit svou poslední tvorbu zejména na pohyb mimo barevné spektrum a většina maleb akcentuje více dění na poli mezi černou bílou barvou.
2. března budou na synchronizovaných vernisážích zahájeny také další dvě výstavy:

Pragovka Gallery invites you to Julia Kopová’s exhibition THE GREY VOLCANO (3 March - 30 March 2023, Pragovka Gallery / Pop-Up).

Julie Kopová's art has long been profiled in the field of gestural painting, whose primary thematization is sought in the abstract uncovering of specific natural processes. Solitary points are rarely found in the landscape - rhythmization can be found in every meadow, water surface, forest and lithospheric plate. Even these lower layers of the landscape (plate tectonics, rock collisions, heat and pressure) are a strong source of inspiration for Julie Kopová. The exhibition The Grey Volcano follows, both in its title and in the selection of specific artworks, the artist's intention to focus her recent work mainly on movement outside the colour spectrum, and most of the paintings accentuate more the action on the field between the black and white.
It will be opened together with Magdalena Kleszyńska’s exhibition MAPS OF MEMORIES (3 March - 30 March 2023, Pragovka Gallery / Entry) and the group exhibition SHE SELLS SEASHELLS (3 March - 30 March 2023, The White Room) at synchronised openings on Thursday 2 March at 6 pm.
The exhibition of Latvian artist Laimdotta Malle OOZE runs at Pragovka Gallery / Rear until 30 March.

Pragovka Gallery is located on the ground floor of the 2nd Pragovka Bay. The building is 15 minutes from the centre. Metro B - Kolbenova, tram - Poštovská.
